Airspace in Delhi, in plain words
- Central Delhi is a red zone. The area around Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament and India Gate is off-limits to private drones without Central Government permission, which private shoots rarely get.
- IGI Airport shapes the south-west. Near the perimeter, flights need air traffic control permission or can't happen at all. From 8 to 12 km out, drones may fly without permission only up to 200 ft.
- Seasonal city-wide bans. Delhi Police bans drones across the city for about two weeks around Republic Day and Independence Day, and for summits and VIP visits.
- Everywhere else is green: drones can fly up to 120 m without flight permission.

Can I fly a drone at India Gate or Rashtrapati Bhavan?
No. Central Delhi, including the area around Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament and India Gate, is a red zone. Private drone flights there need Central Government permission, which is rarely granted for private shoots. We'll suggest venues and vantage points that can be flown.
Which parts of Delhi are easiest for drone shoots?
Generally, the further you are from central Delhi and the airports, the simpler it gets. Many venues in north and north-west Delhi fall outside airport limits, but zone boundaries are specific to each plot, so we check your exact location on Digital Sky before we confirm.
Do you shoot in Delhi around Republic Day and Independence Day?
Not outdoors while Delhi Police's ban is in force, usually from about 18 January to early February and from about 2 to 16 August. We'll plan around those dates or move aerials to a venue in Gurugram, Noida or Faridabad.
How much does a drone shoot cost in Delhi?
A wedding function (up to 4 hours) is ₹5,999 against a typical Delhi quote of ₹7,500–8,000. A property shoot starts at ₹4,999, and a 2-hour shoot with a reel and edited stills is ₹5,999. Travel within Delhi is included.
